5 Nights / 6 Days – Kashmir in Winter – Srinagar & Gulmarg
A separate winter itinerary (about December to February): Srinagar at a gentle pace and two nights of snow in Gulmarg. Nothing depends on an attraction that may be closed.

Day by day
- Day 1
Arrive in Srinagar
Arrive at Srinagar airport; private transfer to your heated hotel (about 30–45 minutes). Rest, with a warm Kashmiri dinner at the hotel if included in your meal plan.
Overnight Srinagar

Srinagar at a gentle pace
The old city, the Jamia Masjid area and local crafts such as papier-mâché, pashmina and walnut wood, with time in the market. There are no lake activities in deep winter.

Srinagar to Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg (about 1.5–2 hours; longer in snow, with chains or a 4x4 if required). Snow time in the meadow. The Gulmarg Gondola only if it is operating that day; tickets are not included and a ride is not guaranteed.

A day in the snow
A free day in Gulmarg for snow activities such as sledging or ski lessons with local operators (paid directly), or a relaxed day.

Back to Srinagar
Return to Srinagar. If roads are open and you wish, an optional half-day towards Sonamarg or Pahalgam (union cabs only in Pahalgam), decided on the day with no promise of access. Otherwise more time in Srinagar.

Departure
Transfer to Srinagar airport for departure.
Seasonal notes
- No shikara ride and no overnight houseboat stay in winter; Dal Lake can freeze.
- Roads to Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam can close after snowfall; we confirm road status close to departure and on the day.
- Flights into Srinagar can be delayed by weather; we suggest allowing a buffer day before onward connections.
- Hotel heating charges, if any, are confirmed in your quote.
