Day by day
- Day 1
Arrive in Srinagar
Arrive at Srinagar airport; private transfer to your hotel. In season, an evening shikara ride on Dal Lake. There are no shikara rides in December or peak winter, when the lake can freeze.
Overnight Srinagar

Sonamarg day excursion
Full-day excursion to Sonamarg (about 2.5–3 hours each way). Local ponies or local cabs for the glacier area are at your own cost and paid directly. In winter the Srinagar–Sonamarg road can close after snowfall; if it is closed, we will suggest an alternative day.

Srinagar to Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg (about 2 hours). Optional Gulmarg Gondola ride; tickets are separate, and operation is subject to weather and availability on the day.

Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Morning in Gulmarg, then a long drive to Pahalgam via Srinagar (about 5–6 hours).

Pahalgam valleys
Local sightseeing in Pahalgam is by local union cab only (outside vehicles cannot operate); these cabs are excluded from our quote and paid directly. Or a relaxed day by the Lidder river.

Pahalgam to Srinagar, Mughal gardens
Drive back to Srinagar (about 2.5–3 hours), then the Mughal gardens and the old city or a local market. In season, the option of a houseboat night instead of the hotel; there are no overnight houseboat stays in winter.

Departure
Transfer to Srinagar airport for departure.
Seasonal notes
- Winter (about December to February): no shikara ride and no overnight houseboat stay; Dal Lake can freeze. More snow time in Gulmarg instead.
- Sonamarg in winter depends on snow and road status, which we confirm close to departure.
- Gulmarg Gondola: operation and ticket availability depend on weather and demand; we recommend booking tickets as early as possible.
- Spring to autumn: the full route usually runs as shown. Drive times are approximate and vary with traffic and road works.
